Gerald Pharris

Prior to forming CapRock Partners, Gerald ("Jerry") launched Pharris Properties, a real estate private equity firm specializing in value added opportunities in the Western United States. Between 2005 – 2008 Pharris Properties invested in approximately $375 million in total deal consideration including 2.5 million square feet of institutional quality Class A office space in major metropolitan markets & over 500 acres of industrial land throughout California.

Jerry also serves as the President of Lytle Development Company (LDC), a real estate development firm owned by Jerry and his two brothers. As President of Lytle Development, he oversaw the single largest entitlement in San Bernardino County’s history where the company entitled 2,406 residential units and 43 acres of commercial use on 647 acres of land fronting the I-15 Freeway. Forecasting a potential market peak, LDC sold 2,100 lots to Lennar in August of 2005. Jerry continues to serve as President of Lytle Development where he helps manage the entitlement for the remaining 2,500 acres.

Jerry began his business career in 1972 when he joined Pharris Sand & Gravel. Over the ensuing twenty years, he managed the explosive growth and profitability of the company from a single sand & gravel operation to a major business enterprise serviced by over 200 ready mix trucks and 450 employees. At its sale in 1992 to CEMEX Corp., the Company was the second largest holder of entitled minable reserves in the state, and was one of California’s largest sand & gravel operations, selling over seven million tons of sand and gravel and over one million cubic yards of ready mix concrete per year.

Jerry received both a BA and MBA from USC. He is an active member of Mariners Church and lives with his wife of over thirty-five years in Newport Beach.
