Parkway Business Center
Purchased in 1997 this project consists of some 220 acres of raw industrial land in the City of Poway in North San Diego County, near the intersection of Interstate 15 and the 56 Freeway. The project, named Parkway Business Center, involved complicated negotiations with the City of Poway, the local community, a facilities district, and various bond investors.
Recognizing the evolving San Diego industrial base from traditional industrial users to high image research and development clientele, this project set the bar for North San Diego County industrial developments. Upon receiving all entitlements the partnership developed, leased and sold, a variety of Class A industrial buildings setting new sales price per square foot records.

The business center has become one of the premier research & development and industrial parks in San Diego County with a 275,000 square foot facility for GEICO a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK-A), a 250,000 square foot office complex for First American Title (NYSE: FAF), Resmed (NYSE: RMD), Daimler Chrysler, and the former world headquarters for Gateway Computers.
